Behind the Bars
 is an interactive evening tour in which volunteers take on the role of staff and
inmates from the gaol’s past.  The event runs from 7-9pm, with last entry at 8pm. 
The event will take place every Tuesday and Thursday evening in July and August.
Admission: Adults ~ $10.00
Children ~ $5.00 (Children under 5 years Free)
Families ~ $25.00
Museum Members ~ FREE

3rd Annual Raise a Little Health Hockey Game ~ 5–9 pm

Hometown Heroes: Raise a Little Health Charity Hockey Game is a full evening of hockey-related festivities and action to celebrate our community’s iconic hockey heritage, culminating in an exciting charity hockey game at the Maitland Rec Centre in Goderich. The game features NHL and other professional level hockey players, as well as local minor hockey players and Members of Parliament.
Hometown Heroes: Raise a Little Health promises to be a first class event for hockey fans of all ages and walks of life.
This event was created as a community celebration with the ultimate goal of giving back to organizations that make our communities healthy and vibrant.  Proceeds from the game will be equally distributed to the Alexander Marine & General Hospital, Goderich-Huron YMCA's Strong Kids and Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health. 
Doors Open ~ 5:00 p.m.
Opening Ceremonies ~ 6:45 p.m.
Puck Drops ~ 7:00 p.m.

Experience the Tradition! Join the Celtic Blue Highlanders Pipe Band every Friday evening, one hour before sunset,
from July 7 to August 25, 2017 as they "pipe down the sun" at Rotary Cove. (Weather permitting) 
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a great pipe concert against the backdrop of a majestic Lake Huron sunset.

Memories Then & Now Car Show ~ 9 am–3 pm
Courthouse Park, 1 Courthouse Square, Goderich, ON
Circle City Cruizers present their 21st Annual Car Show. Come out to see the old with the new! Vehicles of all vintage welcome. Stroll among these special vehicles and engage their owners in sharing their passion for cars!
Cost ~ $10 per vehicle wishing to show
Spectators ~ FREE!
Donations to the food bank always welcomed.
NOTE: Courthouse Square will be closed to vehicular traffic. A pedestrian friendly event. Cars will be parked and one can still wander around the BIA Side Walk Sale and through the Farmers' Market on Hamilton Street.

Márk Fülep in Concert ~ 7–9 pm
St. George's Anglican Church, 87 North Street (at Nelson), Goderich, ON
Some exciting news for the lovers of classical and folk music:
Márk Fülep, a flutist from Hungary, is an internationally acclaimed musician and winner of international competitions. Márk is coming to Goderich on his way to the Minneapolis Flute Festival for which he has received a scholarship grant. Márk was awarded one of the golden flutes owned by the Hungarian state. We will have the wonderful opportunity to hear the Music of Bach, Debussy, Bartók etc. on this prized instrument. Márk is a master of a variety of folk flutes and will be giving us a demonstration of the folk music of the Centre European Region.
You do not want to miss this special event!
Tickets $15.00 available at the Church office Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to Noon (519-524-2274), at Cravings on the Square, or at the door the night of the concert.

For a change of pace and to celebrate the lovely Goderich waterfront in the summer we are having a lantern walk.
Yes, all those lanterns for the winter Candlelit Walk are invited to come to the beach!
The sun goes down about 9:00 p.m. so we will walk in the darkening twilight and watch the lanterns grow brighter.
8:45 p.m. ~ Gather at the first picnic shelter at St. Christopher's Beach
9:00 p.m. ~ Walk together along the boardwalk to the Cove and back to enjoy the summer evening
and each other's light.
We have a fiddler to lead us on our gentle walk! All are welcome with or without a lantern (and it does not have to be home made). Donation collection for the Maitland Trail Association.
