Downtown Goderich
With more than 800 part and full-time jobs and over 160 businesses, downtown Goderich is a central hub for working, shopping and special events for both the town and Huron County.
Goderich has an active Business Improvement Association devoted to improving and promoting Downtown Goderich.
- Twenty-eight blocks make up 6 square kilometres of compact streetscape for shopping, business, civic arts and entertainment in what is known as "The Square"
- 200+ free parking spaces available
- Cultural attractions within a short walking distance of the downtown core attracted a total of 28,000 people in 2017
- Approximately $3 million has been invested in Downtown revitalization since 2011.

Public Private Partnerships
Goderich is home to several successful public/private partnership models that have lowered user fees for private sector enterprises while benefitting the ratepayers of the Town of Goderich.
Goderich Harbour Project
The Port of Goderich is owned by the Town of Goderich and administration is overseen by the Goderich Port Management Corporation. A $20 million harbour expansion project is underway that will create 5 new acres of land, two new loading terminals, and improvements to other infrastructure.
Mind & Body Campaign
The $19 million, 100,000 sq. ft Maitland Recreation Centre was built and a $2.1 million investment was made in the Goderich library, doubling its size.
Water & Wastewater Operations
The Town of Goderich has structured a partnership format with Veolia Water Canada wherein Veolia guarantees operating performance of Goderich water and wastewater operations and water distribution system.
Maitland Valley Medical Clinic
A state-of-the-art 18,000 sq.ft medical facility with 15 Physicians, 3 Nurse Practitioners and a Family Health Team. Goderich residents are placed with a healthcare provider within weeks of requesting one
